London to Nottingham (and back)
One thing that bothered me about this trip was how to reach Nottingham after landing to London (or Gatwick to be accurate).
After consulting some people I saw that it wouldn’t be an issue.
As far as I can see National Express would take care of it. With approximately £50 I can go to Nottingham. Trains depart all the time.
Problem solved. (Unless you know more than me, so please share your wisdom.)
The land of Robin Hood
Did you know that Nottingham is the land of Robin Hood?
According to Wikipedia:
Robin Hood is a heroic outlaw in English folklore. A highly skilled archer and swordsman, he is known for “robbing from the rich and giving to the poor,” assisted by a group of fellow outlaws known as his “Merry Men.”
Now, take a look at the hero:

I think I will visit the medieval Castle of Nottingham where Robin stays lately.
Going to Nottingham
Welcome to my humble tumblr.
This January I’m going to Nottingham to join New Adventures in Web Design. I always wanted to see how a real Web conference feels like. Now a dream comes true and I am very happy about that.
I’m flying from Greece in 19/01/2011. I am going to stay to Nottingham for two days. Then London for two more days. That’s it.
Let me recap the details:
- Conference registration: check
- Air tickets: check
- Hotel in Nottingham: check
- Hotel in London: open.
Any suggestion for a hotel in London would be much appreciated.
PS. My name is Yiannis and I’m a Greek Web designer and developer. If you don’t know me, you might have visited my “proper” website, porcupine colors. Thanks for joining.
